About Microblading

When it comes to waking up with the perfect eyebrows, there are two techniques that are used in the industry: traditional Permanent Makeup and Microblading.

Microblading is a slightly different technique that’s still firmly in the tattooing family, meaning pigment is implanted into the skin, but a precision hand tool is used instead of a machine.

Microblading is designed for Asian skins as it was developed in Asia, working with the density of the average Asian skin type. European skin type tends to be thinner, therefore this technique is not suitable for oily or combination European skin on normal and dry skin there is a risk of possible micro-scars.

It is not common for cosmetic tattoo artist  to publish fully healed results of Microblading, as the results are very natural, and perfect looking at first:

but over time the pigmentation lining becomes off balance causing thicker lining and a less natural look. After four weeks the cosmetic tattoo will be healed, but will forever have micro scars in place – even when pigmentation fades when the tattoo crusts and spreads out of place.

Microblading only lasts 6-12 months (while traditional semi-permanent eyebrow make-up lasts 1-3 years) because we have to work superficially, causing the color to not be penetrated deep enough to last. If we were to place pigment below the dermis layer it becomes a blue-tinged pigmentation and also causes scarring. Scaring also causes the hair to fall out.

If the specialist puts the pigmentation too superficially, over time with a maximum of one month, the area will naturally desquamate causing the skin to lose all pigment that has been applied. This is another reason why everyone should check their therapist’s past work and qualifications.

From a specialists point of view, microblading is a preferred treatment as the equipment used is much cheaper, therefore more profit for the therapist.

Microblading is an amazing technique if you are in the hands of a skilled therapist and can have very positive results.

Please be very careful and thorough when choosing a specialist for cosmetic tattoo procedure. The Microblading procedure is extremely complex and requires an enormous amount of skill. A permanent makeup mistake will cost you removal expenses, scars, a terrible look and can seriously affect self-esteem.
